AWB joined a coalition of statewide business groups to encourage people to
wear masks and prevent further shutdowns. The campaign offers free resources
including downloadable posters, videos, social media content and more for
employers to use.
member care campaign
AWB’s Membership Department led an effort that involved all AWB staff taking
the time to contact each of the association’s nearly 7,000 members and asking
how we could help.

AWB President Kris Johnson’s monthly newspaper column brought AWB’s
message to the broader community, discussing the need to support small
businesses, wear masks and save jobs, and urged state lawmakers to be creative
when crafting the state’s economic recovery.
how manufacturers can help
AWB’s Tommy Gantz led an effort to connect the state’s manufacturers with
the Washington state Department of Commerce, the Washington State Hospital
Association, the governor’s office and the National Association of Manufacturers
to help coordinate manufacturers who are able and willing to step up to make
the personal protective equipment (PPE) and other medical gear desperately
needed to respond to COVID-19.
