washington business Small Business Outreach Tour Visits 15 Cities to Prepare Small Business Agenda for 2017 Legislative Session Small businesses are the heart of AWB — 92 percent of AWB members have fewer than 100 employees. The amount of knowledge among our thousands of small employer members is significant, and AWB is sharing the perspective — and the needs — of small businesses from across the state with the Legislature. AWB’s Gary Chandler Confirmed as Member of Workforce Board Gary Chandler, AWB vice president, government affairs, was officially and unanimously confirmed as a member of the Washington Workforce Training & Education Coordinating Board during the 2016 legislative session. The board, with members from business, labor and government, advises the governor and Le g i s l a t u re o n wo r k f o rc e development policy, ensures the state’s workforce services and programs work together, and evaluates the performance of the state’s key workforce programs.
