Tax Foundation Ranks Washington’s Taxation
Washington state continues to rank in the middle of the
pack for its business tax climate, according to national
rankings from the Tax Foundation. The state ranks among
the worst for its corporate and sales tax rates, but is ranked
one of the best in the country for its lack of an income tax.
Overall, Washington held its ranking of 17th best in
the nation. Drilling down, however, the results show
Washington’s corporate tax rate came in extremely poor at
46th and its sales tax rate was worse, at 48th. The lack of
an income tax put Washington at 6th in that category. The
