The deadline for award nomination forms is June 30. Applications are now open for the 2017-2018 AWB Institute’s Leadership AWB provides members opportunities to display best practices and excellence in a variety of different fields. All awards are peer-reviewed by member companies that have expertise in the related award categories. Leadership Washington is the premier nine- month development program for the next generation of Washington state business leaders. The program spans across seven different regions throughout the state and has a goal of investing in the next generation of leaders who will be the future of Washington business. Grow Here 2017 Employer Image Campaign Kicks Off AWB’s 2017 Grow Here employer image campaign launched in February with a series of TV spots during the 89th annual Academy Awards telecast. This year’s multi-media campaign features M3 Biotechnology, Alaffia and The McGregor Company. In 2016, Grow Here highlighted the good work and environmental efforts of three employers: Rite in the Rain, Schilling Cider and Nucor Steel Seattle. The campaign included print and online ads, videos on Hulu and Pandora, and AWB’s first-ever television spots. Grow Here strives to humanize employers by highlighting their efforts to give back to the communities they serve, and illustrate that employers do more than just enhance Washington’s economy and provide jobs.
