AWB Leads Successful Trade Mission to United Kingdom

AWB led a trade mission to the United Kingdom in June . The U . K . is the fifth-largest export market for Washington employers and strengthening this relationship is key to the state ’ s future success . The delegation visited several AWB member companies ’ U . K . operations , including Costco , Leyland Trucking and more .

Washington employers exported $ 1.8 billion in goods to the U . K . in 2019 — plus another $ 1.8 billion in services . That makes the U . K . Washington ’ s fifth-largest export market . Aerospace products and parts leads the list of exports . Software , computer equipment and electrical parts also rank high on the list .
“ This was our first foreign trade mission since going to Japan in 2019 and it was a fantastic week of meeting with trade officials to discuss ways that we can deepen our ties with a close ally ,” AWB President Kris Johnson said .
