2013 Legislative Review Breaks Down the Vote
AWB received a
record five awards
in September from
the Association
of State Chamber
Professionals,
including first-place
honors for Highest
Membership
Growth in Numbers and Highest Market Share in Numbers. AWB
also received second-place awards in the categories of Highest
Retention Improvement in Dollars, Highest Retention Improvement
in Numbers and Highest Non-Dues Growth in Dollars.
AWB Membership Director Sean Heiner attended the ceremony to
collect the awards. The recognition follows two President’s Awards
from the group in 2005 and 2011. During the annual meeting
Heiner was elected ASCP’s second vice president. He also serves
as treasurer for the national association.
AWB Membership Team Welcomes James
Beauchamp
In August, AWB welcomed James
Beauchamp as a membership manager
focusing on new member support and
retention. Before joining AWB’s membership department, Beauchamp was general
manager and director of corporate marketing for L.A. Fitness in Tacoma.
Beauchamp will draw on his own
experience as a small business owner, operating a small mobile
detail shop and working as an independent contractor for a personal
training sales company. He lives in Puyallup with his wife, Jackie,
and their 3 ½-year-old son.
This year’s double-overtime legislative
session began with a strong push for
major revenue increases. It ended with
a bipartisan budget that held the line
against taxes while still saving money for
education. The AWB Legislative Review
is now available in print and online (www.
