washington business New in Membership New in Government Affairs AWB Collects Top Honors from State Chamber Group 2013 Legislative Review Breaks Down the Vote AWB received a record five awards in September from the Association of State Chamber Professionals, including first-place honors for Highest Membership Growth in Numbers and Highest Market Share in Numbers. AWB also received second-place awards in the categories of Highest Retention Improvement in Dollars, Highest Retention Improvement in Numbers and Highest Non-Dues Growth in Dollars. AWB Membership Director Sean Heiner attended the ceremony to collect the awards. The recognition follows two President’s Awards from the group in 2005 and 2011. During the annual meeting Heiner was elected ASCP’s second vice president. He also serves as treasurer for the national association. AWB Membership Team Welcomes James Beauchamp In August, AWB welcomed James Beauchamp as a membership manager focusing on new member support and retention. Before joining AWB’s membership department, Beauchamp was general manager and director of corporate marketing for L.A. Fitness in Tacoma. Beauchamp will draw on his own experience as a small business owner, operating a small mobile detail shop and working as an independent contractor for a personal training sales company. He lives in Puyallup with his wife, Jackie, and their 3 ½-year-old son. This year’s double-overtime legislative session began with a strong push for major revenue increases.
