Wanderlust: Expat Life & Style in Thailand Oct / Nov 2017: The Travel Issue | Page 5

Editor's letter “You say goodbye, and I say hello…” —The Beatles W elcome to the third anniversary edition of Wanderlust! This issue focuses on travel, as it has for each October since we launched our first magazine in 2014. On the cover we have an illustration of a female aviator. We commissioned this design because, as someone who braves the skies, our imaginary cover girl has a bold streak of wanderlust — the desire to travel — which of course underpins this entire publication. In the three years of running Wanderlust, we have solid- ified our identity. Wanderlust’s articles support healthy liv- ing and a thirst to see and understand the world and our- selves. And it’s time for us to bring our philosophies to a larger audience. With a bittersweet smile, we are announcing that this is the last issue of Wanderlust for a while. Why? Well, we are working on our next step as a publication and as a media company, and we want to make it really great. We know that ensuring a high level of quality requires dedicated at- tention. So, for the time being, we are going on a break, while we gear up for something even bigger and better. I want to thank all of our faithful readers and anyone who has felt inspired by one of the articles we’ve created over the past few years. It has made all the hard work worth it to know that we can influence people positively with our writing, and that’s not something we want to stop doing. So, readers, please stay happy, healthy, and stay tuned, too, for our next exciting chapter. Shannon P.S. We are looking for talented writers, photographers and illustrators to collaborate with us for our next ventures. We are also looking for companies who are interested in collaboration.
