Clean lines, bold accents, and
durability are the cornerstones of
Danish Loft Design Co., a Danishinspired furniture showroom
gracing Sukhumvit Soi 31.
What about material? Danish Loft
Design furniture is made from four
main kinds of wood: mau tabak, which
is a hardwood that leans toward a
chocolate brown color; oak; walnut;
and pyinkado, which is full of character
and one of the hardest hardwoods in
Asia. Steven and Lars employ these
woods to create high-quality, solid
pieces of furniture built to last. Lars
explains, “Even after years of wear
and tear, full restoration is possible
by sanding and oiling the wood and
touching up the paint on the metal.”
The samples in the showroom
are lovely already, but if you’re
looking to tweak the size or color
of a particular piece, Steven and
Lars can accommodate:
“We enjoy the vast flexibility of our
own production facilities in Bangkok.
Even though we produce standard
sized furniture pieces, we have room
for adjusting the measurements to the
specific needs of our clients,” Lars says.
The ability to customize has
been an appreciated feature when
decorating the show houses of a.o.
KVIK, the Danish design kitchen
provider who displays and sells
Danish Loft Design in their flagship
stores in Thonglor and in KVIK,
Hua Hin.
