Among other projects , the CGA has partnered with the USDA and nonprofit FreshFarm to increase the demand for regional grains at Mid-Atlantic farmers markets . This project has included the creation of new branding tools , training and technical assistance to raise awareness about growers and vendors who use regional grains in their products . The FreshFarm Grain Stand and Grain Share projects aim to build a sales model that can be replicated nationally and will hopefully allow small-scale grain producers and users — like Gabriel Key and others — to stimulate the economy by increasing sales at local markets of the aggregated products created by dozens of local growers and agricultural enterprises .
