There is a joyful freedom that comes from traveling along the country roads of rural Loudoun County. Getting lost can be a welcomed occurrence as new discoveries abound: a quaint country store in a timeless little village, or maybe an historic bridge over a gently meandering stream. Peaceful undulating farmscapes with their weathered stone walls give one pause and a deep sense of gratitude for the families who work and care for the land, many over generations. Such is the case with Zephaniah Farm Vineyard, situated some five miles from Leesburg and tucked away along a winding backcountry road. The spacious 400-plus acre farm has a special quality, with hilltops and valleys just right for the twelve acres of grapes grown there since 2002. Its 202-year-old brick farmhouse anchors the land at the edge of the property, serving as family home and a perfect setting for wine flights, relaxation, and good conversation.
