University,” Bellarosa said. “We want to see what kind
of things the parents want to see offered from us in this
program.”
The Parent University could hold sessions where
instructors teach district parents about technology
(including cyber safety) and about how to prepare their
children for academic success. This weekend’s event will
see the school district host dozens of local community
groups, who will get a chance to reach the public on a
grand scale. “We’re inviting any organization and there’s
no cost to any of this,” Bellarosa said. “Groups can have
a table or booth to showcase the things they do with their
organization in the community. We’re hoping to have 50

from animal rescue to different health-related activities.
We have the Walden Fire Department and other volunteer
organizations. It’s a variety of everything that makes up

in one spot for a festive afternoon. “We want to showcase
what we have in the community,” Bellarosa said. “Valley

one group.” The event is open to all residents who wish
to attend. “It’s free to the public, and we’ll have a lot of
giveaways, raffles, prizes for people,” Bellarosa noted.
“We’re going to be giving away some Chromebooks and
iPads that have been donated.”
