Most Precious Blood Pastor reassigned

Fr. Joseph Fallon of Most Precious
Blood in Walden is being transferred to
St. Gregory’s Barbarigo’s in Garnerville,
NY, effective Dec. 1.
Fallon has served Most Precious Blood
Parish in Walden since August 2007. He
had previously served as parochial vicar
of Immaculate Conception, Tuckahoe,
2002-2007 and St. Joseph’s, Middletown,
1996-2002.
The Suffern native was ordained in
1996 by John Cardinal O’Connor at St.
Patrick’s Cathedral. Fallon said he came
to the priesthood in his 20s after realizing
God was calling him to a life of service.
“Over time I came to realize that God
was calling me to serve in his church,”
Fallon said.
Fallon said the people of Walden are
kind and devoted to their faith.
“People have a strong and deep faith
with Jesus Christ and are kind and
charitable to each other and to strangers,”

Fallon said.
Fallon said that while he will miss
the people in Walden’s parish, part of the
priesthood is to move were God is calling
his priests. He hopes to leave a legacy of
Walden clergy, community celebrate Thanksgiving

“I hope to leave behind a strengthen
faith in the reality of Jesus Christ and
the Eucharist and devotion to the blessed
mother and a sense of charity and
forgiveness,” Fallon said.
Fallon said he is excited to come to
know a new community of people and
continue spreading God’s word.
Fr. William Muhm will be taking
Fallon’s place. Born in Billings, MT,
Muhm received his bachelor’s degree
from Colorado State University and
served in the Navy for four years before
he began his studies for the priesthood.
He was ordained in 1995.
Muhm has been a chaplain for the U.S.
Navy since 1998. He was parochial vicar
of Holy Family, Staten Island, 1996-1998
and St. Ann, Ossining, 1996-1996.
The Most Precious Blood Parish
was established in 1893 by Fr. Charles
Meredith. He arrived on July 1—the Feast
of the Most Precious Blood—giving the
parish its name.
The Walden clergy hosted the annual Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service last
Tuesday at Tsechen Kunchab Ling. Clockwise from lower left: the music team of St. Francis,
