espite a rainout which caused a
2-week delay, the May 27 bike rodeo
and car seat inspection put on by the
Montgomery Police and Orange County
Traffic Safety Program was still a big
success.
With officers from the Village of
Montgomery, Goshen and Town of
Wallkill the program began at 9 a.m.
and ran clear through 12 noon. The day
featured the child seat inspection, an
obstacle course, training video, seasonal
food like hot dogs and chips, and of course
a raffle giveaway for the bikes; 14 of them
in total.
“It was a real team effort between the
Village of Montgomery, Goshen and Town
of Wallkill police,” Village of Montgomery
chief Steve Walsh said.
