The night will feature “The Lego Movie.” The film
begins at dusk.
Village of Montgomery water
filtration system completed
The Village of Montgomery completed its Holt Well
Field Filtration System on July 1, which will provide
filtered water to the entire village.
Village DPW Superintendent Buddy Nelson said the
system filters manganese and iron out of the water. While
the minerals pose little health risks, they give water an
ugly brown tint.
The system has three metal vessels, supplied by
AdEdge Water Technologies, that run water from the two
wells at Holt Field through a media, or sand, and pumps
it out to residents, Nelson said. The project also required
the construction of a 15- by 30-foot building and hook up
to electric.
Nelson said Holt Field Well is the largest water
supplier in the village, and supplies water to any part of
the village with the largest demand.
A 2017 water report by the Village of Montgomery
concluded there were no contaminants present in the
drinking water that were over the regulatory limit.
Manganese, the main culprit for brown water, had an
average of 97 ug/l in 2015, while the regulatory limit is 300
ug/l.

“I pride myself on maintaining the constitutional

Crawford defines ‘used car sales’
The Crawford town board recently defined the term
“used car sales” in its town code, preventing gray area
between used car sale lots and junkyards.
Currently, Crawford town code has no definition for
used car sales. The new definition excludes the sale of
salvage vehicles and vehicles not in running condition
from the definition of used car sales.
The new definition for used car sales will be defined
in the town code as “the sale of used vehicles, whether
or not in conjunction with the sale of new vehicles, but
