He is in his fifth term, in the Legislature, first taking his seat in January 2008. He represents Shawangunk, the hamlet of Wallkill and “what I call the greater hamlet area.” Ronk said taking the helm of the Legislature “has been an aspiration of mine for the last few years.” Ronk served two years as Deputy Leader, led his Republican caucus for four years and won the Chair manship by a vote of 14-9 at their first meeting in January. FedEx Project moving forward By RACHEL COLEMAN The FedEx Ground facility proposed for Neelytown Road in Montgomery inched closer to reality last week, with the closure of the public hearing before the town’s Planning Board.
