ITG expands hosted offering
ITG has launched a hosted order management system, according to Will Geyer, managing director and head of platforms. The launch of the platform, which has been in development for a few
years, was announced April 26 and will be used first by Affinity Investment Advisors. The agency broker is targeting smaller firms with smaller IT budgets and larger firms with an appetite for a hosted solution, Geyer said. “[This] hits a mean [cost] for our smaller clients with less internal IT support,” Geyer said. The platform was developed as a result of internal deliberations over how to compress the complicated OMS installation process, Geyer said. The functionality was there, it was just a matter of making sure the support was up to par, he added. Initially available in North America and Europe, the hosted OMS covers derivatives, equities, fixed income and FX, according to Geyer. It
does not cover the full spectrum of derivatives, he explained, adding that while ITG has no plans to add more esoteric instruments, client demand could change that in the future. ITG is also focused on building out the platform’s analytics, Geyer said. The main push is to expand its real-time transaction cost analysis offerings, WILL GEYER with an emphasis managing director and head of platforms, ITG on how the platform captures FIX transactional data, Geyer noted. The firm plans to eventually take the hosted OMS to Asia as well once it’s able to adequately support a significant user base, Geyer added.
