In an interview, David said the vendor, which provides electronic options trading platforms, is working on an upgrade of the risk and brokerage functionality included in the Metro platform. He declined to provide additional details. The Chicago-based company is also moving forward with plans to open an office in Europe, David said. The location, which David previously said could be in one of two locations (WSL Online 12/04/12), has been finalized in London and is a response to increasing demand on the continent, especially in Amsterdam, Germany, London and Russia, David explained. He added it will open at the end of Q3. A Singapore office will likely follow the office in Europe, but that wouldn’t be until 2014 at the earliest, David said. He also detailed the company’s rollout of Metro 4.1 last week, noting additions to the platform were the result of client demand and internal discussions. Among the enhancements are improvements to trade sheets and quoting functionality, order execution and position reconciliation, David said. Trade sheets have been updated to include advanced filtering for strike increments by month, as well as to give traders the ability to manually add strikes and adjust for volatility, David said.
