JULY 2014 The multinational vendor of software for capital markets and investment management offers IBOR functionality through its Sophis VALUE platform. Misys has seen a resurgence of interest as buysiders realize the need for a central repository of all trade data, said Bsat. Firms currently manage the IBOR process using Excel or legacy data repositories, he explained. “Despite the Sophis VALUE IBOR eventually becoming real-time, the challenge is the formatting of how data gets into SOPHIS and ensuring it is done in real-time basis,” said Bsat. “We are working to have the protocol more standardized in the front office with FIX and FPML messages, so we have to ensure that data going into the IBOR is streamlined.” He noted that traders and technologists are looking for lower latency and additional straight through processing functionality, Bsat noted. “We’ve determined what IBOR is and what problem is there to solve. We have to ensure that the IBOR is implemented through Sophis VALUE in a way so that it is a central repository for trade data,” said Bsat. “There will be work to get data in real-time into the IBOR. All of the tools at our disposal will be dedicated to making it more streamlined and standardizing how data feeds are built.” EXCHANGES & ATSs CBOE to allow for more price adjustments The Chicago Board Options Exchange has plans to amend its rules for price adjust
