WHOA Halloween Show October 29 , 2022 • Franklin , Tennessee
WHOA hosted their Halloween Bash Show October 29th at the historical Harlinsdale Farm . It was an absolutely perfect fall day to end the WHOA show season in middle Tennessee . Starting off cool and sunny , the sun prevailed and with a slight breeze made the judging comfortable for proficient judge , Dennis Hills of Missouri . A huge thank you to Susan Hills . She pitched right in and delivered the judge ’ s cards to announcer , Tommy Hall after each class so that the USDA could photograph the cards .
Harlinsdale Farm is not only a place filled with history but one filled with beauty . The white and green trimmed barns with the pastures and lawns in pristine condition are lovely . When the Harlin family and Hayes family deceased the town of Franklin purchased the farm and turned it into a park . I am so very thankful this piece of walking horse history is preserved for anyone who cares to visit . You can view the grave of the one and only Midnight Sun plus several other notable stallions in front of the main barn . You may choose to walk the scenic trails surrounding the barns . As you enjoy your walk , take time to remember and think of the many mares that roamed the very soil you are now walking on .
Try to remember these prominent producers that are equally important of the breed . It is always a nostalgic trip when we host a show at this historical farm as many fond memories surround the setting .
The show was the last one of the WHOA season for this area . With 110 entries , a gorgeous day , many a smiling face it was a great way to finish off the show season .
