WHOA Names Executive Director Search Committee
The Walking Horse Owners Association Board of Directors has appointed a search committee for an Executive Director to replace retiring Executive Director Tommy Hall . The past five Presidents of the Walking Horse Owners Association , David Pruett , Kim Bennett , Rhonda Martocci , Dee Dee Miller and Frank Neal have been appointed , along with WHOA Vice-President Amy Cross and Board member Amanda Wright .
The first meeting was held September 29 , 2022 to begin organizing the search . A job description will be forthcoming . If interested , please contact the Walking Horse Owners Association at 615-494-8822 or

Things have been kinda quiet on the WHOA Show Circuit since The International but The Maiden class
offered at The International continues to be the talk of the horse industry .
During the Celebration there were several sales held , many that featured yearlings . These yearlings were by WGC stallions as well as stallions noted for producing award winning flat shod horses .
The yearlings brought awesome prices with one reported bringing $ 80,000 . This particular yearling was purchased in hopes that it would be a MAIDEN contender . Folks , this was not the only top dollar yearling sold for The Maiden competition ! Everyone was talking about finding just the right one for The Maiden ! This Maiden thang has proved to be a wonderful boost to our entire TWH industry . Thank you to Jessica Mast and Kyle Elliot for your great idea and to WHOA for putting it in The International schedule . With hard work , together the idea grew and is a true sensation . WE are loving The Maiden---a dream showcase for Two Year Old Unshown Trail Pleasure Horses------bring em on ! Let ’ s beat the 60 entry number we had this year !!!!!!
