trainer chooses to ride which of their qualifying horses . All are good — -they might have to flip a coin . Can ’ t wait for this class .
The International is blessed with classes filled with nice walking horses from all across these United States such as : Arizona , California , Florida , Georgia , Kentucky , Indiana , Minnesota , Mississippi , Missouri , New Jersey , North Carolina , Ohio , Pennsylvania , Virginia , South Carolina , Tennessee , Texas , and Wisconsin . Not only are numerous states present but the coats of the horses have changed over the years as well . In years past black was the only or preferred color . Now the ring is bursting with colorful coated horses . Eye catching sorrels with light manes and tails , silver , gray or roan ( whatever you choose to call the color it is pretty ) spots of-all patterns and colors and an occasional bay ( my fav color ). Makes the show ring interesting AND the riders choice of attire to coordinate with their horses is astonishing . In some classes I swear a person might need sunglasses Downright gorgeous .
DAY 7
How can that be ? The days and nights were blurring together but thank goodness for the scheduling genius that had no day classes so staff could sleep in , wash clothes , wash hair , etc .. Finley New and the Bobby Richards family owned , Amazing Gray were picture perfect in their presentation of our country ’ s colors . Finley was the High Point Youth at the WHOA ROAR Show and Amazing Gray carried her to many of the points needed to garner this honor . Thank you Finley for a great presentation .
Tonight must be “ canter night ” as already two classes have proved that our breed really can canter . All are doing a great job . Winning the Lite Shod Canter Class was veteran trainer Bill Bobo on I Like Pina Coladas . Bill can certainly put a canter on a one , any one having trouble cantering their horse might take it to Bill or consult with him .
It is entertaining to see horses and riders that normally do not compete on theWHOA middle Tennessee show circuit do well at this prestigious show . Zack Parsons Stables is doing fabulous tonight , Zack won the Driving Class and his amateur , Denise Charles , just topped the Junior Classic Park Pleasure Class for Amateurs .
An All Day Pleasure Western Amateur Novice Horse and Novice Rider Class boosted 24 entries almost as many as the 29 entry class of last night . The 29 entry class was “ First time Riders At The International
