Starnes . Jennifer Batts donated the beautiful wooden horse statue in honor and memory of her great mare , She ’ s Doubly Delightful . She ’ s Doubly Delightful had won the very first Working Plantation Division for Jennifer and had recently died due to intestinal problems . This great mare will be missed by her many fans . She ’ s Doubly Delightful served as a blue ribbon mount for several children that Jennifer introduced to the breed . Many of these youth that She ’ s Doubly Delightful started on their riding path are showing at this very International . Thank you to She ’ s Doubly Delightful for being a wonderful ambassador for our breed .

The third day of the International is VERSATILITY DAY ! A day that can cause stress for this ole doll as I am afraid an obstacle might have been left at home — a pattern might be too easy or too difficult , someone might fall off in a speed event , etc . the excellent help of the versatility team , Larry Starnes , Vic Gernt , Scott Keen , Sheryl Ward , Mary Beth Pruett and Jodi Dedecker-Bubar . The horses were in top form . They performed the patterns with neither a tick nor a tock ! The performances of the trail horses made me realize how their training had advanced as mistakes were far and few in the classes with what I thought were difficult patterns . New obstacles seemed to be old hand for these seasoned and young horses . I will have to be more creative with the patterns . Please send me your ideas for obstacles . The Judges commented on the excellence of the horses in their maneuvers making the job of judging difficult .
Cindy and Danny Meyers along with the Dickie Gardner Stables saved the day for staff and crew as they provided hot dogs and all the trimmings for a much wanted lunch .
