WHOA Show Series May 22 , 2021 • Brownsville , Kentucky

WHOA traveled to Brownsville , Kentucky May 22 to host a show at the picturesque Edmondson County Fairgrounds . What a show it turned out to be !! Sixty-four versatile entries competed in the morning classes helping to raise the entry level to 271 before the day was finished . The horses were fresh and frisky but the riders proved their equestrian skills and handled the situations with aplomb .
WHOA could not have orchestrated a more beautiful setting nor day . Gorgeous , sunny skies with a cool breeze made for comfortable showing .
Shout out to the Starnes family who had the fairgrounds in excellent condition . Special thanks to the Starnes ’ sons , John and Dan who came home just to help with the show . Thank you , your help was much appreciated . The Tri-County search and rescue once again , provided tasty food ( the fried bologna was awesome as was the cold sweet tea ). We always appreciate good food and yours is the best ,
Judge Joe Fraley did an excellent job as judge . Tracy Mitchell and Linda Starnes filled in as ribbon presenters and were THE BEST . OVER AND OVER I THANK “ our ” helpers but truly we could not provide the excellent service without your help . We thank you and appreciate all you do to make our job easier .
Once again the youth showed up and showed out ! All youth classes were well filled with the All Day Pleasure and the 4 H Classes boasting 12 entries each . Hats off to the youth for helping make the Edmon- 18 • Walking On
ton County Fairgrounds alive with excitement , fun and good Tennessee Walking Horses . It is always my pleasure to watch the youth interact with each other in friendly competition .
It is also my pleasure to see and visit with my friends from states that aren ’ t frequent participants in middle Tennessee WHOA Shows . It is interesting to view the horses after a winters work , some are the same great horses as years previously , some have progressed to new levels . I get so caught up watching the horses that I forget , on occasion to add money to the ribbons however that is quickly remedied !!!!
Brownsville you welcomed WHOA to your beautiful fairgrounds and with the 271 entries , WHOA closed the day feeling very pleased with such a successful show . THANK YOU to all who participated or helped in any way . You made the show the success it was !
