WHOA Rumble On A River Show May 1 & 2 , 2021 • Festus , Missouri
WHOA rumbled on the river May 1 and 2nd ! Advertised as the WHOA / ROAR Show , the show certainly lived up to its name and hype ! The show was a ROARING success with 385 entries walking thru the gate of the two day show . When you go to a new facility in a new area , one can be a bit apprehensive . Reflection Arena proved to be a first class facility . Multiple covered arenas , great PA system , good stalls , nice show office area , just an all around win / win situation ! Due to the pre-show work done by the hard working Illinois-Missouri WHOA members things were attended to and in place when the WHOA staff rolled in and our apprehension faded . A special thanks for the attention to detail needed to host a show of this caliber goes out to Jodi DeDecker-Bubar and her troop of diligent helpers . Seems all jobs were assigned---all volunteers showed up and worked their booties off all week-end to fulfill the job requirements as well as obtaining sponsors !!!! Unless you have put on a show you cannot imagine all the work and helpers needed to make it run smoothly . As stated previously , Jodi had our ducks in a row and they were marching ! Jodi ’ s husband , Gary made a special trip down from Ohio to help and he was a welcome and valuable assistant to Sissi . Shannon Walker and Melanie Lehman sweetly cracked the whip in the warm up area getting the horses in the correct classes and notifying center ring IF anything changed . Dennis Hills was
