DAY 1
The 42nd International . The show is about to begin!
Expectations run from high to low due to the health
issues caused by the outbreak of the COVID 19 virus
that is sweeping the nation. WE are all wondering what
to expect. Will we have the normal number of entries,
spectators, exhibitors, etc.. ? Already we know the 42nd
International is going to be a very different horse show
due to the state and government regulations. The horses
were not allowed on the show grounds until 2 PM on
Monday. This made it very difficult to get the tables set
up, the stalls equipped, the tack stalls in order before
the horses were to be shown on Tuesday. Then there is
the absence of the many generous things that the International
does to show its appreciation to the owners
and exhibitors. Sadly, there will be no donuts free to the
exhibitors in the office each morning (OH MAN) no
coffee cart wheeling its way to the stables each morning
bright and early with complimentary coffee, orange
juice, and donuts for any and all, and no progressive
barn party!!! All due to no hand to hand or close contact.
WHOA staff is wondering how things are going
to run. There are many many MTSU and government
regulations that must be followed. Masks must be worn
at all times unless you’re on a horse you must social
