Bits & Pieces
Hats off to the crew at ThorSport Farm for their ongoing
efforts in using horses to help various facets of the
community.
In April, Allison Thorson, Keegan Meadows, and other
members of the ThorSport team loaded up some of their
beautiful horses and made a visit to the Tennessee State
Veterans Home. The COVID-19 pandemic has been
especially trying for residents of long-term care facilities,
like the veterans home, with visitation strictly regulated
and severly limited. No doubt, the opportunity to see the
horses and their handlers through the doors and windows
of the facility, was a welcome ray of sunshine in the
lives of the residents.
Then, in May, ThorSport opened it doors to Youth
Villages of Nashville. Five groups of kids toured the
farm and were able to experience hands on grooming
while learning about the anatomy of the horse. They also
learned about various careers in the horse industry.
