More new first time WHOA exhibitors included youth rider and blue ribbon winner, Kiley Manuel aboard Martha Child’s JFK’S Storm Chaser. Thank you Martha for sharing your good horse, thus giving a youngster a chance to show. Amanda Gibson proved the first time can be the charm as she won the weanling class with Jose’s Night Rider. Congratulations to all of our new riders—we hope to see them again at our upcoming WHOA shows! TWO HUNDRED SIXTY TWO entries!!!!! Astonishing for a day predicted to be raining and cool---- heck fire 262 is amazing no matter if the weather is perfect. Riley Eilerman from Union Kentucky ---waaaaay up in northern Kentucky ---made the long haul worthwhile as International Champion, He’s Armed and Charmed captured more than one blue for Riley. So many folks need thanking for their hard work in the pouring rain. At the top of the list is Larry Starnes. Larry does so much work prior to the show then he is always willing to lend me a hand building the trail course, western riding, poles and/ or barrels + any and everything we ask him to help us accomplish. At this show Larry proved to be the “Big RIG Unsticker” as he pulled the stuck horse trucks and trailers to high ground with the tractor. Add Sput Hotchkiss to the list that deserve thanks as he opened and shut the gate in the inclement weather the entire show and helped pack up when the show was over. As I have said in Bits N Pieces---It Take A Village! WHOA extends their heartfelt thanks to any and all for whatever help was given. We cannot host a show without everyone’s help and you are appreciated.. – Sis Osborne 19
