The International is looking forward to hosting this new class that guarantees to bring a new level of exciting competition to the show ring. Entry fees and other added monies will go into a jackpot which will pay out 100% with 50% to the owners, 50% to the trainers of each placing horse. The final payout will be calculated after entries close. WHOA will make the public aware of further incen- tives to the entries as they become available in the coming months as we are quickly adding jackpot and trophy sponsors. Pre-entries for “The Maiden” are due to the WHOA office on or before July 1st, 2019. An inau- gural entry fee of $250.00 for 2019 has been select- ed. Entries not received prior to July 2nd will not be accepted. Entries are non-refundable and are non-transferable from horse to horse, but do follow a transfer of ownership. Two-year-old’s previously shown In Hand are eligible for “The Maiden”. How- ever, two-year-old’s previously shown under saddle are not, this includes classes prior to Wednesday evening at The International. Modeled after the extremely successful American Quarter Horse Congress Masters Class, it is our hope and intention that “The Maiden” will grow to be a staple of the International. We strongly encourage owners, trainers and spectators to take part in this groundbreaking event for our industry. Click here for The Maiden Application
