WHOA Show Series Brownsville, Kentucky • June 30 & July 1 WHOA hosted two hot shows in Brownsville, Ken- tucky on June 30th and July 1st. To say they were Hot is an understatement---true the horses were very nice and strutted their stuff but the weather was hotter that four kinds of H$*L!!! Hats off to all the exhibitors that braved this heat to support WHOA and show their tal- ented walking horses. 218 exhibitors walked thru the show gate (AND we missed you Sput!!!) on Saturday with 118 making the call on Sunday. Keep in mind that Sunday’s show did not offer versatility classes. WHOA thanks ALL of you for supporting our Kentucky shows. I need to mention one of our exhibitors that exhibit- ed a cool demeanor the entire show---Maggie Moore- --always presenting her horses with beauty, style and grace. I heard one person say---before the show when Maggie was as casually dressed as I have ever seen her working her horse in the warm up ring----even on a bad hot day SHE LOOKS FANTASTIC and they are right! Don’t know how you manage to be so cool look- ing but you do! The Saturday Show was capably judged by Mrs. Bobbikay Hein of Michigan and in Sunday’s Show the equally capable, Dennis Hills of Missouri marked the cards. Both judges did an excellent job, not only accessing the talent presented but in moving the show along with speed but not haste in the heat. Thank you to both of these judges. Bobby Richards Stables showed several times with winning results. Kevin Marker, Bobby and others did a fantastic job. Again WHOA had exhibitors showing for the very first time ever! WHOA is especially proud to have new youth in the ring. The Edmonson County Pony Express brought several new youth to show and all did a fantastic job. Please remember that Monday, JULY 30th is 4 H DAY at THE INTERNATIONAL. 4 H Members will not have to pay an entry fee for 4 H Classes nor will they have to be a member of WHOA for the 4 H Classes. IF they choose to show in other classes, AND we hope they do, then the 4 H member will pay the applicable fees for that class. Please pass the word to any 4 H member you might know. Oh --- the 4 H Classes are open to ANY breed of horse! Again THANK YOU for supporting our WHOA Shows in Kentucky! – Sis Osborne Two new exhibitors at the Brownsville show - Alivia Higgens and Olivia Russell with Big Red. Carla Hurley winning the Model class (well actually the horse won but Carla looked pretty spiffy) with I.B.A Shade Of Blue for owner Kevin Williams.
