The Barrel Extravaganza Kicked Off the International
Friday July 21st kicked off the 39th International
Grand Championships with an Open Breed Bar-
rel Race Extravaganza.  With $2000 added money
and prizes on the line over 140 entries made the
gate.   This was the first year and will be back next year
on Friday July 27th, 2018 to kickoff the 40th WHOA
International.   Thank you to all the racers for their
support in making this an easy decision to bring back
next year.
Racers from several different states competed at the
Extravaganza.  Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Ten-
nessee were represented to name a few.  Over $5,800
in payout and prizes were awarded in the one night
event.  Trophy saddle stands were given to first place
in each of the 4D Divisions. PeeWee placers were giv-
en feed scopes along with their checks.  Also, a fleece
cooler was awarded for fastest time of the night.
Next year the registered gaited horse class will also
be offered again.  Make sure to bring your breed pa-
pers from any gaited breed!
WHOA would like to thank Hallie Drennan-Poil-
lard from Woodlawn, IL for her hard work and ded-
ication on thinking outside the box on how to bring
our beloved TWH to others attention and helping
WHOA to gain profits to assist other shows and
events throughout the year.
