WHOA Dispatch WHOA Sponsored Service Horse School You are invited to the 2017 WHOA sponsored Ser- vice Horse School. If you are interested in using your horse in the service of others this school is designed to help you achieve that goal. The instructors conducting classes have many years of personal experience and are willing to share their knowledge. We will be conduct- ing this years’ Service Horse School at the Williamson County Ag. Expo covered area located in the barn area. It is covered with open sides. The indoor area is being updated and we will not be using it. Date: June 12th thru June 16th 2017 (Monday June 12th is registration and move in day). Classes start Tuesday the 13th at 08:00 hrs. Location: Williamson County Ag. Expo Park 4215 Long Lane Franklin, Tn 37064 www.agexpopark@info Cost: Registration fee $75.00. If you are a current W.H.O.A member, registration is $25.00 Stall fee: $10.00 for entire week Shavings will be provided for an additional $6.00 per bag. Electrical and water hook ups for those who wish to stay on site $15.00 a day. This school is for those interested in Mounted Pa- trol, Search and rescue, and using your horses in the service of others. Curriculum: Formation riding, obstacle riding, de-spooking, current trends in working events, digni- tary protection, vehicle escort, Crowd Management, self-defense from horseback, emergency first aid for horse injuries, and packing for a search and rescue. There will be an obstacle course competition, partner obstacle course competition formation group competi- tion, and a patrol gait class at the end. Certification will be through the New WHOA Service Horse Program.
