WHOA Pleasure Jamboree Murfreesboro, Tennessee • May 12 & 13 The Walking Horse Owners’ Association Pleasure Jamboree was just that----a PLEASURE! The show, with 350 entries for two days, was a pleasure for the exhibi- tors and a definite pleasure for WHOA! With this crazy, weird weather middle Tennessee has been experiencing, The Miller is a wonderful place to hold a show. Once you unload from your trailer and stall your horse, you never have to go back out into the elements. A person can go from stall—to the ample warm-up ring and then directly into the show arena. A definite advantage when the wind is blowing 90 miles an hour and the rain is pouring down! Adam Hall was in charge of marking the entries on Friday night and did an admirable job as nice walking entry after nice walking entry entered the ring. Serving as announcer was Tommy Hall. WHOA Pres- ident, Rhonda Martocci was in charge of distributing the money and keeping the ribbons in the correct order. Yours truly assisted Rhonda with the ribbon presenta- tions. Saturday morning started off with versatility class- es. Eli Murphy was the effective judge for the Saturday session of the Pleasure Jamboree. We had several new youth riders trying their hands at the versatile events Mallory Johnson Wyatt Morgan 16 • Walking On which was a very pleasant sight. Love to see new riders trying their hands at different events. Alice Klein in- structed two of the new youth riders and we hope she will continue to support the WHOA Shows  in the fu- ture with even more new youth. The youth classes were well filled much to our delight. The All Day Pleasure Youth Class gave Judge Eli Murphy an eyeful of young talent as 9  hard riding youngsters rode for the coveted blue which was awarded to Wicked Times with Mallory Johnson making the good ride. Seeing that many young riders gave us hope for the future. Classes averaged 5 or more entries per class All in all the Pleasure Jamboree was a heck of a good show with many new exhibitors. We hope the trend of new exhibitors, seasoned competitors, friendly atmo- sphere and good walking horses continues to bless our shows this season. Come on out and join WHOA for a terrific time showing your horse. –Sis Osborne
