Walker, Just Say WHOA Program Ambassa dor Well friends, we had a goo d tim e during our trip to the KY Hor se Park last weeken d. I would like to thank Dan Starnes for letting me stay at his barn while Ernie & Bre nda did some sight seeing in Lex ington. I would also like to thank Hannah Starnes for war ming me up before my trek to the KY Horse Park Saturd ay morning. We had a great time patrolling with Mo unted Police Tro oper Roy Foster. Roy was so gracious and pulled some strings to let me and Ernie ride in the Parade of Horses. Wo w, that was really cool to be in the Parade of Horses. Thanks to Lin da Starnes for doing the announcing while we were in the ring and Shelby Finch for taking a video of me and Ernie. It has been a while since I have been in a ring with so man y peo ple cheering.. I almost forgot where I was. Took me back to my you nge r years as a show horse. I really enjoye d the kids coming up to mee t me during our time at the park. We really enjoye d everyone com ing over to the Police Barn to sing the “Just Say WHOA To Drinking, Drugs and Bad Decisions” song. WOW, Lin da, Shelby and Olivia can rea lly belt out the tunes of the son g…. I did hear Ernie chime in once and a while with his baritone voice. We met some folks fro m the UK tha t were real nice. I was ver y par tial to the large poster of me that was next to the fence. I sure ma de some eye contact with the goo d looking fellow on the poster. We had a long ride back to She lbyville on Saturday evening and I was gla d to get into a stall at Rising Star Far m. Thanks to David Wil liams for putting me up for a few nights. Sun day afternoon we hea ded sou th and ma de it home to Northwest Florida aro und 6:30 PM. I hope Bre nda and Ernie soon sell the far m here and move back to TN where I was raised.
