67th Annual Germantown Charity Horse Show The 2015 edition of the Germantown Charity Horse Show was held June 2 - 6 at the Germantown Charity Show Grounds in Germantown, Tennessee. One of the oldest multi-breed and multi-discipline shows in the region, this year’s event featured American Saddlebreds, Fresians, Morgans, Paso Finos, Tennessee Walking Horses, Racking Horses, Roadster and Hackney Horses, and Welsh Ponies as well as Carriage Driving classes and a Hunter Jumper competition. The excitement of the the various show events was enhanced by the large number of specta- 12 • Walking On tors and the numerous vendors set up on the grounds. As has been the case for 16 years, the show’s designated charity was The Exchange Club Family Center. Adam Hall of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, marked the cards for all of the show’s walking and racking classes. With 199 total entries, those competing for top honors included some our industry’s most talented flat shod contenders. Leading the blue ribbon count was Rhonda Martocci. Her show string, consisting of Light Em Up, I’m Soulja Boy, and Side Lined, combined for a total of nine victory passes. With five blue ribbons, Jim and Jason Morris place second in the count. Their winning entires included My Dixie Chick, Evil Intentions, and The Boogieman. An engaging destination for any horse lover, the Germantown Charity Horse Show was, once again, a huge success. Special thanks to show management and everyone involved in hosting this great show. Full results for this show can be found in the Show Results section of this issue. –Sarah Gee
