Bits and Pieces Ambassador Jane On Saturday, September 26th, White Oak Farm of Atoka, TN participated in the Annual Rosemark Country Fair. 2006 WGC Silver Express (“Silver”) and All American City Slicker (“Jane”) were chosen to be the featured equine ambassadors. Sammy Sanders handed out brochures and information on the TWH. Many kids and adults stopped by and commented on how pretty they were and how well behaved both horses were. It was hard for them to believe that Silver was a stallion, since he was so gentle with the children. It was really fun to see the little girls putting their hands out to pet Jane. I can remember so well being one of those little girls and wanting to get a pretty horse of my own. However, this wasn’t Janes first time in the ambassador role. Not by a long shot! Both of us are constantly on the alert for opportunities to further the education of the general public and influence public sentiment about the beloved TWH. This past summer, a well-known and prominent Quarter Horse trainer was in route from shows to his home in Texas, when he experienced serious truck problems. Through mutual acquaintances with the farrier, White Oak Farm was contacted and the Marbrys graciously allowed them to stay at the farm while the necessary repairs were made to the truck. Naturally, the trainer was curious about the operation of the fa
