In this month’s Food Fernwah, Mettlefork set off in search of a local favorite. As I stepped off the train I was greeted with the hustle and bustle of busy London. Red double decker buses filled the streets aside tourists and locals alike. Everything seemed so busy and crowded. Suddenly, hunger struck as my food friends and I were on our way to tour the London Bridge. Since the London is a large walkable area, we decided it was a good idea to eat before we started our trip.
We were lucky enough to find a quiet gem of a restaurant amongst the London chaos. Albertini’s is a small Italian restaurant serving up big flavor.
We started off our foodie adventure with an antipasto platter filled with meats, olives and fresh mozzarella cheese. Everything on the platter was amazing but if you wanted to take it up a notch, a small drizzle of balsamic vinegar over the fresh mozzarella is the way to go. I was torn between the lamb chops with mint drizzle and the risotto di mare.
