Waldensian Review No 133 Winter 2018 | Page 2

T h e Wa l d e n s i a n Synod 2018 in Torre Pellice was interest- ing, busy and friend- ly as ever. I was the Waldensian Mission representative and will report more extensively in the Summer issue. I will just mention yet an- other brotherly letter from the Pope to the Moderator and the whole Synod. And a vigorous revivalist sermon with strong Revival hymns during the culto solenne at the opening, by Rev. Emanuele Fiume. It was good to see old friends such as Tim Macquiban and Paolo Ricca, who was not only in excellent form after a serious health issue but had even managed to write a new book, this time on the afterlife! WALDENSIAN CALENDARS 2019 April and September in the Valleys. Beautiful as ever and on the reverse the story of Mediterranean Hope.
