Latch Key update During the September board meeting, the Board of Education approved the Latch Key contract with the YMCA. South Construction Update The roof is complete! A complete replacement of the HVAC system is on schedule and should be operational by mid-October. All of the lockers are installed, the lights are done and the security doors are operational. The windows are still a work in process but the flooring is complete. The LGI (Large Group Instruction) looks amazing even though the seating is not in yet. New Fieldhouse for North high athletics The locker rooms are open and the North Varsity football team has moved in which houses 82 lockers, restrooms, showers and offices for coaches. The public restrooms for fans are functional and the new entrance way for athletes and spectators which includes a ticket booth looks fantastic. Dennis Reilly, Athletic Director at North High School, said that “turn styles on the side gate and new fencing is the next step in the process. This way the public can use the track during limited hours.” This facility is being funded by Qualified School Construction Bond money, no general fund tax dollars paid for this facility. Signs will be posted letting people know how the project was funded.
