T

he 2013-2014 school year has gotten off to a great
start at Edison Elementary School. Our students
came back from summer break ready to learn and
ready to get back into the routines of school. We started
our year off with a refresher of our PBS (Positive Behavior
System). Students quickly got back into the habits of school
and were well aware of the expectations in every area of the
school. This is the third year for our PBS program so the
students are well aware of the expectations. For students
who are new to our school, veteran students are happy to
help them learn all about this fun and exciting program.
The students really enjoy earning “Eagle Bucks” and purchasing prizes with them. At the end of each quarter we
offer a big prize students can purchase with their “Eagle
Bucks”. For the first quarter this year, students will be able
to purchase extra recess with a snack and drink.
In addition to our PBS program, all students have been
working hard to complete their MAP (Measures of Annual
Progress) testing. Students have been focusing and taking
