Students Donate to the Community
Thomas Jefferson students stepped up to the plate and provided outstanding community support by participating in the “Penny Wars” for the United Way. Students raised more than $630 in donations. As a result, their philanthropic efforts will be used to help others in our community. Their kindess is recognized and appreciated.
North High School football players volunteered at the American Legion Post 678 to help fill more than 2,000 stockings for local hospitalized veterans. A group also visited Wade Park VA Hospital to deliver the Christmas stockings to the vets on the Sunday before Christmas.

Window Painting Brightens the Willoughby Public Library
Bill Henrich, a Willoughby resident, contacted WMS art teacher Cheryl Palmer inquiring about the availability of students to paint holiday themes on the Willoughby Public Library windows. Mrs. Palmer and six of our WMS Art Club students met bright and early on a Saturday morning and really did a great job.
