Enhanced
beauty
B
uildings can be an extension of ourselves,
our personalities. The cracks like wrinkles,
the holes like scars. Lived in like our bodies; they
share our memories, our evolution, our loves, our
creation, our hopes, our loss. And just like our
bodies they take on a life of their own. There is a
drive in society to invent, to reinvent, to recreate.
But there is a beauty in these old structures. In
their shape, unusual composition and vibrancy.
We need to appreciate the old, the run down, the
broken. Although broken, they are still lived in,
used and loved. They are somehow worth more
because of it, and are more beautiful for their
breaks and irregular lines... Just as we are, for ours.
