Mr Grant Ah-Shene, a devoted teacher and Christian, took on missionary work this year, taking him
far away to Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mr Ah-Shene stated
that the highlight of his trip was worshipping Jesus with the church he visited in South America. He
states he would definitely go back as the people are
amazing and feel like a new family. His best travelling advice is to pack in advance, do everything you
can and sleep when you get back home.
Mrs Genevieve Cotton tied the knot on the seventeenth of December 2013, marrying fiancé Adam
Cotton. The ceremony was held at the lustrous Lake
de la Vie in Port Elizabeth. Her best advice is to
marry your best friend. Honeymoon in the June holidays saw the happy couple whisking themselves
away to Turkey for three weeks. The highlights of
the trip were viewing the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul
and the sumptuous Turkish food. Mrs Cotton states
she will definitely go back if only to indulge her obsession with ‘Arabian Nights.

Mr Andrew Betts was married to Lauren Kriel on
Further afield, Mrs Stephanie Russell visited Salt
Lake City and Denver in Utah and Colorado in the
US. Scotland and London were also destinations for
this intrepid explorer. During her month long trip,
she reconnected with special friends and family.
Mrs Russell states that she absolutely loves travelling and is always ready to hit the road. Travelling
advice is to get to airports way ahead of time, find a
‘hop on-hop off’ bus in major cities and then return
to places you want to visit again.
Mrs Donnel Goldberg spent a terrific ten days in
Tenerife (on the fabled Canary Islands). The highlight of her trip was visiting Loro Parque, a conservation centre for endangered species. Mrs Goldberg
states she would definitely revisit this little bit of
paradise. Her best advice is to save lots of money
as the exchange rate is a little harsh at fifteen rand
to the euro!

House Church. The highlight of his day was seeing his beautiful bride walking down the aisle. The

Mrs Kerry von Wildermann married Richard von
Wildermann at the Rose Barn in Saint Francis on
the twelfth of April 2014. Her honeymoon included a trip down the Garden Route and later a trip to
Victoria Falls.
Mrs Mariette van der Walt visited Thailand during
the June holidays. Her son, Darren van der Walt won
a trip for two to Phuket and took his lucky Mum
with him! Highlights of the trip included exploring
areas of the Kohlanak Caves in rubber dinghies,
emerging into a series of breath-taking ‘secret’ lagoons. Mrs van der Walt would love to go back as
