Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangporn Pichpol, deputy director and Dr. Chalita Jainonthee, veterinarian of the Veterinary Public Health Centre for Asia Pacific (VPHCAP) visited the University of Minnisota as faculty staffs during 25 May to 6 June, 2015 in oreder to;

meet with co-research teams which Chiang Mai University and University of Minnisota have collaboration to conduct research based on interesting topics related to animal health,

food safety, and zoonoses in the topics;

• Risk assessment of Campylobacter jejuni in chicken

meat production in Northern Thailand

• Antimicrobial stewardship in companion animal practice

Faculty exchange

prepare for the CMU-UMN student exchanges which is scheduled in July and August 2015

attend the Public Health Institute (PHI) courses

This was the 2nd year of the OIE Veterinary Educational Twinning Program, that 5 veterinary students and 2 instructors from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University spent time and experienced in USA field work during 6 – 24 July 2015, and 5 veterinary students, 1 resident coordinator and 1 instructor from University of Minnesota also had opportunity to exchange their experiences, knowledge and fulfilled Abattoirs and Veterinary Public Health – Clerkship in Chiang Mai University, Thailand during 17 August – 4 September 2015.
