OBJECTIVES:

‡ To exchange the update knowledge and share One Health

experiences and success stories in public health including food

safety, food and water-borne diseases, emerging infectious

diseases and other vector-borne or zoonotic diseases

‡ To nurture integrative research and diffusion of learning in

human, animal and environmental interaction through a

collaborative network among international researchers

‡ Deepen understanding of ‘grand challenges’: complex, multi-

factorial, systemic issues emerging at the convergence of public

health, animal health, economic development and environmental

health

‡ Develop key leadership skills for catalyzing collective action

including: Communications, Working across boundaries, Influence,

Vision and strategic thinking, Accomplishing results and

catalyzing change

‡ Intensify opportunities to use these technical skills and

leadership competencies to address complex challenges and

opportunities, such as global food security,

emerging infectious diseases, or the control of

catastrophic animal disease
