Retention & Advancement Leadership Development We are deliberate in nominating and supporting several Vorys associates and partners’ participation in leadership development programs, including: • National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Prospective Partners Program • LCLD Fellows and Pathfinders Programs • Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Leadership Summit • Ohio Women’s Bar Foundation Leadership Institute • Leadership Columbus • Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers • Houston Young Lawyers Leadership Academy We also provide monthly leadership development programming through our partnership with Women for Economic and Leadership Development (WELD). Mentoring Every associate is paired with at least one partner mentor. They meet formally and informally to develop a personalized approach to the associate’s training, development, and evaluation. In addition, informal mentoring relationships and an “open door” atmosphere are hallmarks of the Vorys work environment. Vorys will soon rollout an enhanced mentoring program, including enhancements such as mentoring teams, greater clarity and alignment of performance expectations, more opportunities for real-time feedback, more robust career development plans and coaching. Associate Relations Committee The Associate Relations Committee (ARC) is made up of partners and associates and provides a forum for addressing associate issues and fostering open communications and strong relationships between associates and partners. 19
