VN&V Summer 2014 ing eak Br s ew n We’re number one for AMYA Partnerships for play Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) is a national faith-based youth organisation that nurtures the physical, moral and spiritual development of young people. Sharing our commitment to support vulnerable children, the young members of AMYA have already raised tens of thousands of pounds for us through sponsored runs and cycling, non-uniform days and store collections. This year, for the first time, they have chosen us as the sole charity to support and they aim to raise £50,000. They started in May with their 10k Charity Challenge in Battersea Park. Our corporate partners, Kier spent three days creating a play area for a child we support suffering from a rare illness. Five-year-old Maddison couldn’t play in the garden because of her wheelchair and portable ventilator, but the workmen created a flat and safe area for her to get out and enjoy. Over their two and a half year partnership with us, Kier has raised £250,000 and counting to go towards our work with the most vulnerable children. 04
