Walk the Talk

My experience with PHS in Mauntua's Peace Garden was wonderful. Even though the work was tough my co-workers and I enjoyed it and learned alot we learned how much work gardeners do every day. We seen the beautiful flowers and crops that the community helped plant, we also helped water the plants and filled the flower bins with soil. There are no supermarkets in their neighborhood so if a family dosen't have a car and no access to any organic or fresh foods then this can be dangerous and unhealthy. For this reason PHS helps provide familys with opportunities to pick organic foods fresh from their garden and flower bins. I personally think that its a wonderful way to bring their community together and fight for their rights.
