On July 2nd our group went to the share food organization for the first time. What this organization does is to provide food in various places to people who are in need of it.Because of this, around a half of a million people in Philadelphia are fed every month. All of this takes place inside a warehouse full of volunteers willing to do any and every task needed to acheive their goal. I was one of those people.

Even though the details of the volunteer work was explained to me I hadn't realized how serious they quite were. Within the first 15 minutes of entering the warehouse, I was instructed to pick the weeds from out the cracks of the ground in the parking lot. I was sure that I was going to be perfectly fine there because the work was tedious but easy; I was wrong. after picking the weeds I found myself all over the warehouse doing various "odd jobs" for different supervisors. I wasn't the only one either. All of my co-workers were put to work as well doing things like useing sledge hammers' bagging arugula and doing heavy lifting. I was exhausted, but satisfied helping out.
