This magical escape is in the buffer zone of the Great Himalayan National Park. The name of the valley is derived from the Tirthan River which originates from the glaciers of the Himalayas. The Valley is situated at 1600 Meters besides the Tirthan River. This is a place to forget the rest of the world. Long walks through the rugged woods next to the river whispering with the meddling fog, is what makes this place so chimerical. Bonfires, camping and music will only elicit your already developed bias for this place. Losing connection from the outside world was not all a bad experience as I could not get enough of this place. Everyday there was something new about that place. With no hustle-bustle of the cars or the atmosphere of a city, it was a real treat for me .If you are looking for solitude out in the wilderness, this is where you need to be. The water can be bone chilling. This is a perfect spot for relaxation in the wild. The non-concrete paths and the forests around the valley makes it one of the most scenic wonders of India .I wish to visit this place again as it blends perfectly with my idea of solidarity. By - Oishee Roy MURTHAL Murthal is a small town in Haryana famous for it's Parathas. People are so crazy about these parathas that they travel 70 to 80 kilometres from Delhi just to savour these large parathas for their mid-day breakfast. Well I am also one of them who travelled 70 kilometres with my family and friends to have them in a dhaba. is a flat bread made out of wheat. It is kneaded into a dough and then cooked in oil or ghee. But the parathas of murthal are made in tandoor which serves the purpose of oven in rural India . The butter on the parathas is freshly churned and does not have any adulterated stuff in it . So it is worth a drive to have such a healthy breakfast.I have attached a picture of how a parantha is made. Chakki ka Atta is Flour. It is very easy to make and delicious to eat. Enjoy making it and eating it. By – Oishee Roy 8
