It basically means that you have all the rights to have your own opinion and that you are allowed to speak out about it, without consequences. We think that freedom of speech and our right to express our opinion is the foundation of a democratic country. You don't always need to appreciate another person's options, but we think it's important that everyone should have the right to tell them. So therefore I think Voltares quotes are so good "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.“ You can as a journalist for example turn to a newspaper and publish something and remain anonym. But the person who is responsible for the contents of the magazine, the editor in chief, have all the responsibility. So if something offensive comes out, it is the chief's responsibility and not the writers. He or she is the responsible publisher. We do have limits for our freedom Nighter to spread someone else's hospital records or military secrets is allowed. If you do break some of this laws, there will be consequences. You can be called to several talks in your school if you get caught while bullying someone else. Then you will be forced to talk to the schools curator, nurse and maybe even the principal. Above all you have to apologize to the victim. If you utter something racist and with that, breaks the law against violence against ethnic groups, they have the right to send a report to the police. And if someone should threaten you they could be risking to end up in jail.
